Out of the office

For the next few weeks Team Ronin will be out of the office. Our Lead Technician and his lovely wife geared up and started their long trek from Colorado to Alaska last weekend. We are hoping to post photos of their trip as they come in. Safe travels to you both!

Total Recall

Well as some of you may know Buell has recalled a majority of its 1125s to upgrade the charging system. We have been going through our fleet of bikes to make sure each one is up to date before they become Ronins. The recall involves installing a sub harness and relay to help regulate the stator, as well as installing the latest ECM mapping. Read all about it here. 

The good guys up at High Country Harley Davidson are dedicated to the Buell brand and have been helping us get all of these recalls done.

The Verdict is Still Out.... 

We have been running the Erik Buell Racing chain drive swing arm on the Ronin over the past week and we're not sure if it will stay on the bike. It’s noisy and messy, and you have to adjust it (this is obvious but you don’t really realize until you've run a belt for a while). It does however look pretty tasty, and takes it one step further away from a stock Buell. We'll continue to run it and weigh the pluses and minuses of the system and determine if it is something we want to carry over to the production bikes

Performance Cycle Bike Night

Well the Performance Cycle's bike night was a hit. Tons of bikes rolled through over the course of the evening. Everything ranging from beautiful vintage steel with straight pipes, to modern tricked out sport rides with candy paint jobs and sparkling chrome, and everything in between. The Ronin definitely held its own in the crowd and it turned quite few heads as well. A big thanks goes out to Performance Cycle and all the staff there!

The eye candy just kept rolling in, so I scaled a small building to try to fit them all into frame. 

As the riding season goes on, there are going to be more bike shows and moto-events popping up. We'll do our best to give our avid readers a heads up so, if you're in the area, you can stop by, say whats up, and get to see all the nooks and crannies of the Ronin in person. Until then, Cheers!
